Cherry Blossom Festival

Spring has been slowly creeping into the weather, and what a better way to officially kick it off than a cherry blossom festival?

Each year around March and April, Washington D.C. hosts a National Cherry Blossom Festival around the Tidal Basin area. The start of the festival coincided with spring break, so me and my boyfriend decided to go on a day trip to D.C..

The trees were in full bloom and it was incredibly beautiful – there were several types of cherry blossom around the tidal basin area and everything was pink and white. It was the first time I ever saw cherry blossoms and it couldn’t have possibly been a better day. The sun, the breeze, and even the guy holding my hand were absolutely perfect (ewwww cheesy).

Gotta pose like the cool kids

I promise i was happy when this picture was taken
