Ipsy
May Glam Bag
It’s a very, VERY, belated opening/review because of all the hectic chaos there’s been going on (post), but here it is: the Ipsy May Glam Bag!
All products are linked!
The contents of this month’s glam bag were
- Glamour Dolls Blending Brush #10 Sperm Whale Edition
- Jelly Pong Pong Cosmetics Caribbean Sun Bronzer Duo
- GLAMGLOW SUPERMUD Clearing Treament
- Crazy Rumors HibisKiss Natural Lip Color in Coral
- Avene Micellar Lotion Cleanser and Make-up Remover
So far I’ve only received two glam bags, but in both cases I got a brush, which I like. Last time I received a highlighter brush, and this time I got an eye shadow blending brush. I think the design in itself is pretty cute, and the bristles are really soft.
The lip balm was a nice addition to the glam bag, but I personally did not like this particular one too much. There wasn’t as much colour as I expected/wanted, and it was a lot more shimmery than I tend to go for.
It’s interesting, especially in the current context, but I’ve always been really self-conscious of my lips being too big. I never really wore lip gloss because it makes my lips look thicker and more bulging.
But I digress. The formula seems pretty nice though, it applies smoothly and it did not chap my lips as I’ve had other lip balms do.
This is also the second face cream I’ve received in my glam bag, and I’m looking forward to trying it out since I’ve always been a sucker for face masks.
This is a makeup remover, which I kind of don’t need as much anymore, since I got the Sephora Black Magic Make Up Remover Cloth (I’ve wanted to post about it for a while, but I didn’t get good pictures of it), but I’m thinking it will be really nice for traveling since it’s so small.
This is the second bronzer duo I get from a bag (the first one being from the bag at Ulta), and I haven’t really tried it out, but I like the colour. My skin tanned a little during the last week and this colour seems like it’s going to look nice on my skin.
Overall, I don’t have strong feelings about this month’s Glam Bag, positive or negative. I liked the brush, but most of the other stuff didn’t really seem like things I would buy with my own money. But that’s why I went for Ipsy in the first place; to try out new things!
I won’t be receiving Ipsy Glam Bags for the next couple months, but the last two months have been a good experience. I will have to think about re-subscribing when I get back to school after summer, and I’ll keep you informed!
Yours Truly,
Diane,
Also known as Hey June.
Thanks so much for sharing this! I’ve been looking for a subscription service for so long, and I think I’d genuinely use every one of these! Great post xx

I’m so sad to hear that!! 😦 It really is cute, and I also love how soft the bristles are! I hope they restock soon so you can get one too 🙂
